How to use the Zahn cup:
1) The temperature of the liquid to be tested should be 25 degrees Celsius, and during the testing process, ensure that the temperature fluctuation is minimal and does not exceed +/-0.2 degrees Celsius. Adjust the temperature of the liquid to be tested if necessary.
2) Choose a viscosity cup with the appropriate aperture. Immerse the viscosity cup into the liquid to be tested, ensuring that the cup body is completely submerged in the liquid.
3) Measure the temperature of the liquid in the viscosity cup with a thermometer and record it.
4) Remove the thermometer.
5) Hold the ring on the handle with your index finger to keep the viscosity cup vertical. Quickly and steadily lift the viscosity cup, starting the stopwatch when the viscosity cup leaves the liquid surface. During the outflow process, the height of the viscosity cup must not be more than 15 centimeters above the liquid surface.
6) Stop timing when the first exact interruption of the flow is observed.
